Movia Pet-Nat

Movia belongs to the Kristančič family, who have farmed in the village of Ceglo in Brda, on the Italian border, since 1820. Aleš Kristančič leads the estate, which has 25 hectares of vineyards across Brda and Collio. His son Lan makes the Pet Nat.It's 50% Ribolla (Rebula) and 50% Chardonnay, made by the ancestral method: a single fermentation with wild yeasts only, bottled before it finishes so the bubbles form in the bottle. The Rebula gets about 24 hours of skin contact, and the wine is cold-settled, unfined, and unfiltered. Aromas of poached pear, green apple, lemon zest, white peach, and jasmine-like florals, paired with a dry, crisp, textured, and mineral-herbal finish.
