A Little About Our Legacy
For Cam Davis, LouElla Wine, Beer & Beverage is the culmination of more than 20 years of experience in the hospitality and beverage industry. Cam has successfully managed some of Durham’s finest locally and nationally recognized establishments, including Hutchins Garage, Guglhupf, Rue Cler, and Durham Catering Company.
He brings a wealth of wine and beverage knowledge, not only from his extensive restaurant experience but also from his tenure as Durham Sales Manager for wine distributor Bordeaux Fine and Rare. Cam found his second calling in 2003 when he renovated, remodeled, and refurbished his first house from a condemned state.
When he isn't working, Cam is passionate about kayaking, scuba diving, gardening, and Alabama football. He keeps an active lifestyle and is always on the lookout for his next travel adventure, whether it's to a special vineyard, brewery, or perhaps a week-long concert festival.

A Note From Cam: About Our Space
We designed LouElla to be an open and casual space with some hideaways that clients can slip into when they want a little more privacy. I called in a lifetime's worth of favors to get the space exactly as I envisioned it. My brother Trey Davis was a huge help. Trey is a contractor out of Fairhope, Alabama, where I am originally from. Jennifer Noone worked with me on the design and sourced some incredible North Carolina lumber for the bar top and shelving. Carpenter Evan Wittels out of Cary did amazing work and was essential in putting all my crazy ideas together. We sanded down the original flooring to showcase its beauty and character from 80 years of wear. My pet project was to build the bar top out of planks of ambrosia maple. This stuff is so beautiful. The wall and back bar were built with live-edge cedar, poplar, and some of the old floor joists. These joists are true 2in- x 12-in pine and original to the building. I love having that little bit of the building's history throughout the space.
