2024 De Kleine Buffelsfontein Pinotage

The two ancient wild fig trees flanking the dirt road at Buffelsfontein were once tender saplings, freshly cut and woven into an arch to welcome Paul Kruger to the farm. President Kruger was on his way to visit his father, Casper Kruger, who lived just beyond. The saplings were never removed; instead, they took root and grew, enduring through time. Today, these trees stand as a living monument to Oom Paul, who once declared: “Africa for the Afrikaner.”
