60% Sauvignon Blanc, 40% Menu Pineau
An incredibly special wine and one of our all time favorites. The grapes were harvested in two stages. The first, making up roughly 80%, was direct press. The other 20% was harvested very ripe and macerated on the skins for 5 days. The wine spent 18 months in old barrels. This is intense, aromatic and herbal (almost blackcurrant leaf...), with a lovely salinity.
