KURZBESCHREIBUNG 2022 Binger Kirchberg Riesling Kabinett - A vibrant summer wine! A mineral-based Riesling with a charming interplay of sweet and acidic that| creates great tension! Aromas of peach and cassis are embedded in its wild flint mineral. The fine and light-footed Kabinett goes particularly well with dishes from Asian cuisine, as the slight residual sweetness often balances the sharpness. It should always be within reach for warm summer days! Also try it as an aperitif!

DIE LAGE The Kirchberg in Bingen has a unique terroir. The Kirchberg lies in northwestern Rheinhessen facing east with a view to the river Rhine and it tells the story of quartzite, which was formed 400 million years ago in the Devonian Earth Age. Quartzite was formed from an enormous sandy beach of the primordial sea by solidification and metamorphosis as well as iron oxide deposits. This results in the name Kirchberg with its scarlet red discolorations. Due to the eastern exposure, the grape gets the morning sun not the full midday heat. The cool Rhine winds also ensure a relaxed climate and good aeration of the grapes.

VINIFIKATION The ripe, crunchy grapes were harvested by hand during the first harvest. After whole grape pressing, the must fermented with the grapes* own yeasts. When the sweetness was desired, the fermentation was stopped by cooling down the wine. After storage on the fine yeast, the wine was bottled in mid-March.
