This micro-cuvée comes from 114 year old gamay vines planted at 300 meters elevation in soils rich in granit, quartz and manganese. The yield is a mere 20hl/ha. Whole cluster, semi-carbonic maceration for 20 days. 12 months aging in barrel. The wine is neither fined or filtered.

A single vineyard planted in 1903 by the grand-father of the former owner. At the time, he selected very qualitative rootstocks “Riparia Gloire” very adapted to the soil. Thanks to a manual work, generations succeed and the old Gamay vines are still here nowadays. I decided to isolate this vineyard in order to conserve it as long as possible and to work in this plot like the older generations with tradition and respect to nature.

From Yohan Lardy:

I started my estate with 2 ha of old vines - planted in 1911 and 1950 - on the heights of the Moulin a Vent appellation in the prestigious plot called "Les Michelons"

The soil is very thin, meagre, with pink granite crumble rich on iron mineral "manganese". I handpicked all my grapes and vinify my wines with only native yeasts without sulfites. I age my wines for at least 10 months in Burgundy barrels in order to get the best balance between fruit and acidity.
