2021 Chateau Haute-Nauve, Saint-Emilion Grand Cru
Merlot 70%, Cabernet Franc 27%, Cabernet Sauvignon 3 %
Château Haute-Nauve is located south-east of the Saint Emilion appellation and belongs to the same family for 4 generations. The vineyard is made up of 70 % Merlot, 27 % Cabernet Franc as well as 3 % of Cabernet Sauvignon and covers 9.5 hectares mainly at the foot of the hillsides, including part of hillsides. The floors are made up of clay, black sand and limestone. In 1930, explosion in Gironde of cooperative cellars where independent winegrowers gathered, entrusting their harvest for winemaking and marketing.Society phenomenon where Léo Reynier joined that of Saint-Emilion. Since 2009, Marie-Anne Reynier made major investments on the farm.A new chai is built in order to enhance the richness of the terroirs and the work accomplished.The wines are thus again vinified to the property. It is currently Florent Mallet, the son of Marie-Anne, who manages exploitation combining tradition and modernity.
