A blend of Pinot Noir (42%), Hondarrabi beltza (48%) and Cabernet Franc (10%). These two Atlantic varieties with marked “terroir” character, elegantly yet frankly encapsulate the geographical characteristics of the two parcels, both located close to the sea.
Cherry red color with a light layer, as expected from a red wine from an Atlantic climate. Intense and fruity nose. Mineral and balsamic notes from aging in red clay vats. A good, smooth, fruity, and fresh entry, then expands to a full mid-palate where acidity and volume are balanced, giving way to a long, subtle bitterness with hints of cocoa, black fruits, and nuts. In short, a harmonious marriage between Piñu Beltza (Pinot Noir) and Hondarrabi Beltza, found in a limestone Cantabrian holm oak forest.
