2019 Argatia, Haroula Red

50% Xinomavro, with Negoska and Mavrodaphne

The Haroula red is a blend of 50% Xinomavro with the balance a mix of Negoska and Mavrodaphne. For anyone who enjoy rustic, stimulating reds with a rowdy personality, this is a wine for you. Pale ruby in color with streaks of garnet throughout. The nose is incredibly savory with wild aromas of dried mountain herbs, fresh earth, cherries and violets. On the palate, the wine is intensely structured with zippy acidity and fine-grained tannins that perfectly frame the savory herbal, mineral and earthy flavors alongside notes of strawberries and dried cranberries. The finish is long and refreshing with a tangy, mineral drive.
